How do we support children in a world where the internet is often their playground, source of information, part of their classroom, and social circle?
Join qualified therapist and leading educator Jo Robertson for this engaging two-hour workshop exploring the opportunities and challenges of supporting children and young people in the digital age. Combining the latest evidence with a Master of Science in Medicine and nearly 20 years of professional experience in sexual health, relationships, child development, and sexual trauma, Jo will examine the impacts of pornography, online exploitation, popular apps, filters, and digital culture on young people today.
Thoughtful, evidence-based, and practical, this session will give parents, grandparents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals the knowledge, confidence, and strategies needed to prevent harm, support healthy development, and navigate the digital world alongside our children. You will leave informed, empowered, and ready to continue the conversation.
Branch members can attend for free, provided their annual membership fee is current and they register by 15 December. Email Meg to reserve your spot: manawatu@gwnz.org.nz
